Aeponia Farms is a quiet little piece of heaven tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Horses splash in the pond and graze under the shade of oak trees while chickens chase dragonflies.

Riders enjoy miles of trails along the Econ River or training over jumps or in the round ring.

We provide a very reasonably priced partial board facility where each boarder takes turns participating in the care of the animals.

Our Farm's name grew from a confluence of terms. In ancient Greece, the Epicureans considered pleasure as the absence of pain or want. Pleasure increases only up to the point in which pain or want becomes absent. This zenith of pleasure is the state of aponia. Meanwhile, in Celtic and Roman regions, Epona (Great Mare) was the goddess protector of equestrians and fertility. Some sources even show Epona and her horses as leaders of the soul in the after-life ride. The similarity of the terms in combination with the great importance of each of their meanings in our life gave birth to the name "Aeponia".
