Sadly we lost our sweet mare - Love the Flag in 2014. She was a beautiful registered Thoroughbred with an impressive racing lineage. She was inspected by the Rheinland Pfalz-saar warmblood registry to be a Zweibrucker brood mare. She had classic, harmonious sport-horse lines and a very sweet temperament. If there is a silver lining to the loss, it is that we have her son, Claim the Flag to carry on her lines. You can see more on Claim the Flag here for videos click here. Below is a description of their shared lineage.

Love the Flag came from a long line of stakes winners. Her sire was Avenue of Flags (1988) with a notable career ($327,855) and the sire of 163 winners of 541 races with total earnings of $13M. See a sweet story on him here. Love the Flag's first dam is More Amour out of Clever Trick.

Clever Trick was a prominent racing stallion who won 8 stakes and earned $420K. His progeny won 67 stakes and earned $43.5M. He was 4th by number of lifetime winners with 591. See a story about Clever Trick here. His picture is to the left. There is a clear resemblance in the family lines.

Love the Flag's second dam is Sunny Romance who has a Werk Nick Rating: A+++ *Triple Plus*. She is out of Galant Romeo and Sundestine.

Most notable, probably, is Love the Flag's Grandfather, Seattle Slew - the only undefeated Triple Crown winner (for more on that story click here)! Click here for an interesting story about his life and death.

To the left is a picture of Seattle Slew, again its easy to see the resemblance between our Love the Flag and her grand-daddy!
